I am a certified animal tracker for the Southwest region (CyberTracker Track and Sign Level 3), Certified California Naturalist (UC Davis Extension), and Certified Interpretive Guide (NAI). I have received training in biological monitoring for the desert tortoise (Desert Tortoise Council) and Flat Tail Horned Lizard (Southwest Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation). I recently served as the Administrator for the Friends of Daley Ranch. I conduct wildlife surveys in open space preserves, wildlife corridors, and wildlife tunnels in our county. I also train wildlife survey volunteers and trackers and educate the public on habitat fragmentation and conservation issues that affect our area. I volunteer for the annual summer bighorn sheep count and bi-annual wildlife guzzler maintenance in Anza Borrego Desert State Park. My profile pic is of a positive ceiling track cast of a late Pliocene canid found in the Fish Creek area of Anza Borrego.
