Had such a wonderful morning walking around Ray Roberts State Park with my dear friend Lauren, master park interpreter at the state park! We spotted quite a few birds in preparation for her bird walk tomorrow.
Headed down to the Lower Rio Grande Valley for a staff meeting with the other urban wildlife biologists.
I noticed a nice little state park in La Grange -- Monument Hill and Kreische Brewery State Park. I didn't stay long at all (had some other places I wanted to explore), but they did have a nice little nature trail.
After a presentation on the Tandy Hills BioBlitz last night, a few master naturalists and I walked around Tandy Hills to look for a few new species. I ended up taking the day off from work to play outside! :)
