These three bucks have all been given names.
Here's Blondie. I didn't name Blondie, my neighbor did (thank you Travis). The rest of the trio was named to reflect his name. Blondie is a beautiful fellow. An old buck, he has a really interesting wheaty color, which is how he got his name.

This series of photos is from a tense interaction between a coyote and a mule deer. The coyote left its partner on the East side of the marsh crossed to the west side of the marsh. As it approached, the mule deer emerged from the vegetation. The coyote took a moment to defecatewhen it made it to the far side, and the mule deer watched it wearily. at first it seemed that the mule deer would let the coyote pass; it moved further west, but kept looking back towards the coyote. The coyote walked south, slowly, keeping a good distance between itself and the mule deer. The deer, noticing the coyote, made a few "stotting" hops and did a high walk for a moment, which the coyote watched. The coyote continued South but the mule deer slowly walked closer to it. Eventually the deer gave chase, albeit slowly, and the coyote ran away, south towardsthe water's edge andthen east along it, with the deer pursuing until the two made it to a large fallen tree, which the deer stopped at and the coyote continued past at a brisk trot. The interaction between the deer and coyote took place over 13 minutes.

Check out the blue paint on the tail. The coyote entered the L.A. Zoo from Griffith Park. The male was trapped, marked, and released back into the park by zoo staff. Two days later, my brothers (8 and 10) discovered it in their neighbor's backyard (a few miles away from the zoo). I am happy the zoo's efforts are paying off. What a crazy coincidence!

We were walking around Rodeo Lagoon and my fiancé saw orange/orange behind a couple trees. He(?) proceeded to stay back and caught a mole which he played around with. He did approach cars briefly, and fortunately everyone stopped and then he ran off behind the buildings and we did not see him again. At this time, I did not know about hazing and am so glad I have learned!

Had a funny event play out close to the Rio Grande Village at Big bend NP. I had just parked and noticed this Coyote across the park road staring intently at some high grass between it and me. He walked towards it and two Wilson's Snipes flushed and flew to thicker cover. The Coyote kept going to the same spot then picked up a large fallen limb, looked at me a few times then walked back to the back of the clearing and starting chewing on the limb...

Shot in scapula, dragged by bear to three different feeding sights. Multiple bear lays and scats scattered about. Worn runs made by bear and other scavengers showing imprinted bear compressions over the week or two of feeding.

I took this blurry photo of this young deer from my parked car. I think it's a mule deer, based on the black tip of its tail (wdfw.wa.gov/living/deer.html).

What looks like one adult and three young Mountain Lions. Only the second Mountain Lion on the cams! The video shows playful behavior among the young.
