We get a lot of volunteers from this species ever since it was planted in our vegetable garden. We aren't growing any in our garden currently.

If C. spicata, rather than C. argentea, then this hasn't previously been vouchered in Florida, which surprises me since it grows like a weed and spreads quickly.

This flowering individual was destroyed after photographing to prevent any further spread.

Not sure if oligaspis is more commonly considered a species or a subspecies. Sources seem to differ and all seem very old. Schwartz and Barbour both agree that it is a subspecies and they were the top Caribbean herp experts of their time. However, iNat provides both options and Reptile Database lists it as a full species. I'm leaning toward subspecies from what I've read.

UPDATE: iNat has made the subspecies taxon inactive, so I am treating A. oligaspis as a species here.

This plant is here considered wild and progeny of larger examples of the species on site, which are presumed cultivated. However, true wild status is unknown.

ID suggested by iNat

Found underneath the bark of a section of cut South Florida Slash Pine... I'm not sure why the tree was cut down (there are only four or five others at this park). I decided I might as well take advantage and see what lives under the bark but some of these organisms may have just made the tree their home after it was cut down (new guinea flatworm, rolly pollies, brahminy blind snake for example). I'm sure many, like the termites and barklice, naturally use the tree as a home.

Found associated with an ant colony of unknown species, living on a palm tree. Yellow tip to anal segment suggests to me that this may be a very young form of Anadenobolus monilicornis, adult forms of which were also found on the same tree.

Aside from the yellow coloration of the collum and anal segment, there is little resemblance to adult A. molinicornis, but please keep these features in mind when making an identification.
