My heart lies in the nature of the Pacific Northwest US, but I have an affinity for exploring ecosystems around the world. I earned my Bachelor's degree in biology and a minor in African studies from Colorado College (with two semesters of study abroad in east and southern Africa focused on wildlife ecology and conservation). I completed my Master's of Science degree in Biodiversity Conservation and Management through Imperial College London. I have studied termite feeding ecology in southern Africa, the ecological history of the Columbia Basin pygmy rabbit's habitat in Washington state and have a soft spot for all of the often overlooked lifeforms - particularly insects & other arthropods and lichens & mosses! I work in wildlife conservation and conservation engagement, coordinating species recovery and human-wildlife coexistence projects and supporting the engagement of others (elementary school to graduate school audiences) in science and conservation.
