Plants are my passion, especially those native to Virginia. I volunteer as a Master Gardener and a Master Naturalist and hike regularly. During these COVID times, my escape to regain sanity has been in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Since March 2020 every week or 10 days we have hiked and followed the succession of leafing out and blooming in various parts and elevations of the Blue Ridge.
