Save Mount Diablo 2015 Bioblitz - Morgan Fire footprint

The Morgan Fire presents a unique opportunity to study post-fire effects; areas once impenetrable due to dense chaparral vegetation are now open and available for study. With the help of the local scientific community, we will conduct our second Bioblitz survey within the fire footprint in Mount Diablo State Park, on our Viera-North Peak property, and on neighboring parcels. Paying special attention to fire-following native and invasive species, and the spectrum of wildlife on the mountain, Save Mount Diablo’s 2015 Bioblitz will add to the overall understanding of natural fire recovery on the mountain. menos ↑
