Katia Hnatiuk- Common Earthworm Phylogeny, Unique Adaptation and Adaptation between all observations.

The Common Earthworm (Lumbricus terrestris) is a very well adapted species, that is, it has adapted to living life underground! These organisms have bristly hairs on their body which allow them to grip the soil as they move through it. As well, earthworms have a "streamlined" body shape meaning they have no limbs or other features that get in the way of them being able to move smoothy through the ground. Lumbricus terrestris are found in a phylogeny under the Lumbricidae family and Lumbricus Linnaeus Genus. A common adaptation between all the organism observed in this study is that they have all adapted to live in a environment alongside one another. The insects and plants give back to one another and the other organisms in the environment through various metabolic processes.
