Sonoma County Ranchers Track, Kill Mountain Lions Killing Livestock.

Other livestock owners in the area are instead choosing to kill mountain lions who kill their animals.

Just last week, a mountain lion was put down after killing a goat in Kenwood. It’s the second state-sanctioned mountain lion killing in the last eight months in Sonoma valley.

Famous mountain lion cub that survived North Bay fires killed with Fish and Wildlife permit.

A young mountain lion was killed in Sonoma County with permission from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife after the puma killed a local landowner's goat.

Bold coyote caught on camera in Chula Vista neighborhood, more sightings around San Diego.

According to Project Wildlife in San Diego, it is common to see coyotes moving into urban areas hunting for food, especially with the recent high temperatures in the region. They say the heat, recent wildfires and the lack of rain have coyotes looking for food and water in areas they may have not searched at other times.

The return of the California Grizzly Bear?

The bear that graces the California state flag went extinct some 30 years before it became the official animal of the Golden State in 1953. The last known California Grizzly Bear was sighted by a road crew in Sequoia National Park in 1924.

Two Bobcat Babies Rescued in North Bay.

Wildcare said it tried on two occasions to reunite the babies with their mother without success. After they are stabilized at the center, they will be transferred to the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley, which is housing other orphaned bobcats in care and has the facilities needed to raise them to be healthy, wild cats with the hunting and survival skills they'll need.
