Do you still want to do more? Post your pollinator photos during the event to your own Instagram or Facebook accounts (#txpollinators) or check the online event calendar to find events near you.

Thanks for participating in the inaugural Texas Pollinator BioBlitz! The event was a huge success. We have posted more than 2,200 observations Documenting more than 400 species, mostly pollinators.

A special shout out to Curtis Eckerman (@cmeckerman) for being the top observer with 274 observations of 95 species! Bravos Curtis!

From October 7-16, 2016 we’re celebrating the bees, butterflies, moths, beetles, birds and other animals that are critical to our native plants and food supply.

Join the fun!

• Daily Challenges: Register online (http://tpwd.texas.gov/education/bioblitz/registration) to receive daily emails October 7-16 with ideas for taking photos and making observations of pollinator-related scenes.
• Post your images to iNaturalist, contributing to citizen science data collection.
• Events: Attend pollinator-themed events near you (http://tpwd.texas.gov/education/bioblitz/events).

Throughout the event, give the pollinator full-house challenge a try: photograph a pollinating bee, beetle, butterfly, fly, and bird (not all at once or at the same site, but over the course of the blitz).
