Currently studying a PhD focused on coral restoration techniques using Acropora corals of opportunity, based in the Wakatobi National Park, Indonesia.

Primary specialties include Indo-Pacific reef fish, coral and invertebrate species ID; South-West Indian Ocean reef fish and invertebrate ID; Sea turtle species; Southern African birds and wildlife.

Secondary ID specialties in Caribbean coral, fish and invertebrate species (although a bit rusty!); elasmobranchs.
