These days I am an actor, but I have a first degree in marine zoology, and a PhD in fish biology (fish immunology to be precise), and have spent many years as an operational meteorologist and oceanographer. I have also worked as an underwater wildlife camera operator, shooting series such as Blue Planet, The Natural World, and Wildlife on One for the BBC. I have been taking underwater photographs for many years and I'm still trying to master the art.
