We are an exclusive rainforest and beach ecolodge set in almost 1,000 acres of tropical lowland rainforest, enjoying direct access to Golfo Dulce and surrounded by Piedras Blancas National Park, in southern Costa Rica. We are passionate about our pristine environment and our main aim is to help preserve the beauty of this very important biodiversity hot spot.
Our aim through iNaturalist is to catalogue as many species as we can, with the help of our visiting biologists from Cambridge University, UK. We generally record species only once, with the exception of a few, such as the Golfo Dulce Poison Dart Frog (Phyllobates vittatus), an endemic species present in our property which is being monitored by Osa Conservation.
All marine data collected by Mia Mezzanotte.
All camera trap species identification by Uma Mezzanotte.
