Descrição

Floating aquatic plants with geranium like leaves. Has not bloomed since mid summer. I recall a yellow flower but I never spent time looking at the flower. This plant is not migrating westward in large masses like water hyacinth and Mexican water fern are now doing. Floating masses seem to grow into the shore anchoring them unlike water hyacinth and Mexican water fern which are foating freely.

Descrição

This plant is very small aquatic floating on the surface. Each plant has 2 roots extending down into the water about 3/4 inch long and very straight and thin and flexible. The “leaf” starts out green then turns brown which may be spores? There is no stem. The plant consists of 2 leaf like structures fairly round and joined. Large masses of these plants clog water channels this time of year. These leaf like structures are very folded and feel thick but are small: perhaps 1/4” diameter.
