Walking along Grinnell path and saw this bird which seems to be the same one from yesterday hanging around Strawberry creek. Lots of foot traffic but stalked away when it saw me take pictures!

The surf revealed where all the juveniles were hiding. I wonder if all the beachgoers were scaring the shorebirds off thereby allowing the juvenile sand crabs a predator-free morning.

Found under large oak log that was being watered by a broken water pipe, which is probably why it was found in the summer! (found with Aneides lugubris)
