seemed to be "sunning" on the rocks; at vernal pool 'Turtle Pond'; about five or six feet from the area with water. about five in the surrounding area; in an area with lots of mud and...algae..? Lots of surrounding life (insects, frogs), also fairly close to surrounding grasses (maybe 3-4 feet)

growing out of a fungus, in a dead piece of wood(dead down): only one in surrounding area: (redwood canyon). "wavy" green leaves w/purple stem, almost jagged leaves (some dry and dead)
