The lined margins of the cap & mottled stem suggest that these are Amanita jacksonii. I did not move back the the leaf litter to confirm the presence of the volva, but a telltale piece was stuck to one of the caps (though not visible in these photos).
Stunningly beautiful mushrooms!

Found this Brown Thrush trapped in a plastic bin. It had obviously been eating poke berries. It was still in ok shape, so able to fly to a nearby shrub. Hermit Thrush, I presumed, but could it be a Swainson’s Thrush?
