Feathers of some sort. I saw a green heron take off from this area just before I noticed the feathers, but I’m not entirely sure if they came from that bird or another species. Each feather was about 3 inches long.

A bird that was hovering motionless mid-air thanks to the wind. It was very hard to see from a distance, but I think it was roughly seagull-sized and white with black wing tips, so I think it could have been a seagull, but I don’t know for sure.
