This brown trout was found in Ruidoso, NM at Eagle Creek. This mountain stream runs parallel to Hwy. 532 and it was around 1 pm. Its scientific name is Salmo trutta and it belongs to the Salmonidae family.

I saw this lizzard along with 2 others that were able to escape before the picture was taken. I think it was a earless lizard because of its size. Its scientific name is Cophosaurus texanus. It was very hot that day and was probably sunbathing.

I saw this very fluffy and fat pigeon at UTEP near the Rubin Center. Temperature was very high and pigeon was in the shade. Its scientific name is Columba livia domestica and it belongs to the Columbidae family. It was around 2 pm when I saw it.

Descrição

This could have been a white tail deer or mule deer. I was not sure since it was caught by the cameras we put up at night near our camping site. It was about 50 degrees F and the exact time at which it was captured was 11:01 pm. Its scientific name is Odocoileus hemionus and come from the Cervidae family.

I saw this black bear on a hunting trip in Cloudcroft, NM around 2 pm. It was looking for food and by itself. Maybe 5 ft. tall. The scientific name is Ursus americanus amblyceps. FYI I did not shoot him.

The winecup plant was found in the UTEP garden and when I compared to other winecups around the country, the winecups found in the garden are much lighter and greener. Most are usually bright colors like purple or pink.The scientific name is Callirhoe involucrata and it belongs to the Malvaceae family.

I am not positive of the exact species of stink bug this is but I believe its scientific name is Brochymena arborea. It belongs to family Pentatomidae. I saw it on the trunk of a small tree as I was walking to the Library at UTEP around 2 in the afternoon.

The Mourning Dove's scientific name is Zenaida macroura and also has other common names such as the turtle dove. I found this dove in a tree while I was riding my bike back home from the gym around the west side of El Paso, TX. The reason I though it was a Mourning Dove is because of its slim features and brown and grey light colors.

The Grat-tailed Grackle also known as Mexican Grackle was found in a tall pine tree outside my house. Its scientific name is Quiscalus mexicanus and it is from the icteridae family. This was a medium sized bird and I think it was a male since it was all black.

This bumblebee was completely black no yellow spots at all and was seen at the Utep garden around 3 pm.
I am not sure of the scientific name but it is a member of the genus Bombus, part of Apidae, one of the bee families.
