Description

Several of these wasps were clustered on a rush (Juncus scirpoides I think) in early morning. They were relatively inactive, though some appeared to be putting their heads into the flowers, but I didn't see them extract anything. The habitat is an occasionally mowed roadside along a forested vacant lot adjacent to a tidal bayou (not especially sandy soil).
