Description

Powerline, occasionally mowed. Culm about 1m, did not note basal leaves. Culm leaves 14cm x 13mm, internodes, sheaths, leaves all hairy, with a glabrous band just below nodes. Branchlets not squiggly. Pedicels 1-2mm. Spikelet 2.7mm x 1.3mm, strong nerves (7) and fuzzy hairs on upper glume and sterile lemma. 1st glume acute, 1.1mm. Upper glume and sterile lemma cover fertile lemma. Fertile lemma 2.1mm x 1.1mm, no tuft on apex. The closeups were taken after plant had been in bag for a while and was moldy. It's not easy to see, but the spikelets are definitely hairy.
