Observações de ekaif

A Tricolored Heron I found at the lake. It was gray and had a light colored beak. When me and my dog slowly walked toward it, it didn’t fly away at first, but after a minute or two it flew away above the trees.

This bird was standing on a wooden pole that was sticking out of the water. Nearly every pole was inhabited by a bird, and some of these birds were flying down to the water to catch fish. The bird was very far away, so it could’ve been a different color, but in the image it was black. One of these black birds started chasing a much smaller bird, but I wonder why it would do that.

A group of birds I found on the beach. They were all a foot tall. They had black feathers on their head and white and gray feathers on their body. They had orange beaks. They were very skittish when we approached them, but they didn’t fly away.

Some large plants in my backyard. The most prominent parts are the giant pillars that stick up out of the soil alongside the leaves and branches. They are all growing in a large clump and there aren’t any similar bushes nearby. The leaves are dark green.

A tree with red berries growing from its branches. There wasn’t anything special about it, and there were many other similar trees nearby. The roots looked like mangrove roots, but there wasn’t any water nearby. They were growing up to about 8 feet tall. The berries were red and shiny.

A strange plant with large leaves. The plant stood at about 5 feet tall and its height was mostly due to its stem. Some of the stems were red, and grew lower to the ground. There were no other similar plants nearby, and this was the only one I saw. The leaves are circular and have spikes.

A black spider with an orange spot on its abdomen. It has long legs compared to its body, but still is only 3/4 of an inch long. It’s front legs are especially intimidating, making up for most of its length. It was also very still, and didn’t move from its spot in its nest. We saw many of these same spiders on separate webs, but this was one of the biggest.

A common Squirrel found almost anywhere in Florida. It is dark gray with a while belly and a long, furry tail. It has two tiny ears and eyes and is just over half a foot long. They are usually very skittish and will run up into the trees if you get too close.

A female White Tailed Deer traveling with her baby. She was about 2.5 feet tall and over 3 feet long. She wasn’t very skittish for a deer, and even with her baby behind her she let us pass from about 4 feet away. When we were walking back a few minutes later, she was still in about the same spot.

A bird found in Florida. It has a long neck, and is probably four or five feet tall. It has a bright yellow beak and gleaming white feathers. It’s legs are mostly black. It is usually seen looking in the grass. Despite it’s huge size, it would most likely fly away if you approached it too quickly.
