This bird was standing on a wooden pole that was sticking out of the water. Nearly every pole was inhabited by a bird, and some of these birds were flying down to the water to catch fish. The bird was very far away, so it could’ve been a different color, but in the image it was black. One of these black birds started chasing a much smaller bird, but I wonder why it would do that.

A black spider with an orange spot on its abdomen. It has long legs compared to its body, but still is only 3/4 of an inch long. It’s front legs are especially intimidating, making up for most of its length. It was also very still, and didn’t move from its spot in its nest. We saw many of these same spiders on separate webs, but this was one of the biggest.

A common Squirrel found almost anywhere in Florida. It is dark gray with a while belly and a long, furry tail. It has two tiny ears and eyes and is just over half a foot long. They are usually very skittish and will run up into the trees if you get too close.

A bird found in Florida. It has a long neck, and is probably four or five feet tall. It has a bright yellow beak and gleaming white feathers. It’s legs are mostly black. It is usually seen looking in the grass. Despite it’s huge size, it would most likely fly away if you approached it too quickly.
