UCSC Arboretum Master Naturalist iNat training

Hello Santa Cruz area iNaters @dpom @leptonia @jmaughn @anudibranchmom
Together with the folks at the Ken Norris Center for Natural History at UCSC (http://norriscenter.ucsc.edu), the Academy is holding a UCSC campus and Reserve bioblitz on April 30th. In advance of the bioblitz, Linda Anderson (who runs the California Naturalist Group out of the UCSC Arboretum) would love to give her crew an iNat training. She is looking for someone to come talk to the group on April 14th from 7-9:30pm. They are looking for a brief inat intro and some training on how to use it, both in the field and on the web. Linda says, ' Seeing the benefits of 'many eyes' and how they can fit into real scientific research really got folks excited.'.

All of you are skilled users of iNaturalist, great naturalists, and great teachers. Would any of you be interested in giving a training to this group? It might even be better as a team effort.

Please email me (or reply to this message) and I can connect you with Linda.
Thanks so much for considering and I hope you all will sign up to be leaders for the bioblitz on 4/30.
Thanks again,
Rebecca

Hi Rebecca,

I'd be more than happy to do it, but I think everyone mentioned here has more experience using iNat than I do (I'm a recent convert). That said, I'd be very interested in supporting or co-leading with any of y'all.

Let me know!
