Anagallis foemina vs Anagallis arvensis
How to distinguish Anagallis foemina and Anagallis arvensis:
1a - Petals red or blue, obtuse or truncate at apex. Glandular hairs on petals margin many and dense, 3-celled: A. arvensis.
1b - Petals blue, often subacute at apex. Glandular hairs on petals margin lacking or few and scattered, 4-celled: A. foemina.

There are also differences in the overall growth and structure, right? I feel like I remember learning that somewhere. One looked more perennial than the other.

I would not bet a cent on it despite someone said that there are differences in pedicels:bracts ratio. I cannot cofirm this difference.
Here in a mediterranean climate they are both truly annuals even though there are other species which are suffruticose perennials.
@abr Since I saw you mentioning the two species recently, maybe you could chip in.

Hi ! I know this is a post from two years ago but I have a question. So if i see these in the wild there's no way to identify them I just say that it is either this or that ?
almost no way without a linen tester or a microscope... :-(
It is visible in macro photos if there is enough magnification, as well. Even on your observations linked above.

@blue_celery A question from a learner. When it states one is 3-celled and the other is 4-celled, what is the structure referenced?
Start counting hairs cells from the first unpigmented or pinkish cell (not bue)
