Description

Very sadly this gorgeous snake ended up being road kill. We initially mostly swerved out of the way but managed to graze the side of the snakes head 😞. The snake clearly was experiencing serious neurological issues and was repeatedly emphatically twitching, we determined the best move was to run it over again to put it out of its misery. The last image especially shows the head scales that are obviously different on a Western Massasauga than on a Prarie Rattlesnake.

Description

Rare continuing bird on a seemingly unfinished nest. There seems to be a possibility this bird will breed with BCNH and create an interesting and seldom occurring hybrid.
