Small snake med iridescent brown pointed tail and nose wont strike no fangs seems to be harmless but dont want my son to mess with it until i know for sure
Not sure on the i.d. but based on seeing Great Basin Spadefoot Toad tadpoles in NV, these have a similar iridescence. The pond had little water with some emergent vegetation. Water seemed pretty stagnant.
Stripes on back, spots on legs?
Found in gutter on first real rain of the season. Moved out of road.
I named him Franklin , but I’m not quite sure what specific type of frog he is.
Lousy picture because it was dusk, and instead of getting a good photo, we were mostly concerned with herding it out of the campground bathroom and back into nature. Only then did I think to take a pic, as it was hopping quickly toward the bushes. Greyish brown with a bit of pink on its sides, and significant toe pads. About an inch and a quarter to an inch and a half long, close to three and half or four with legs extended.
