This observation using a vegetative sweep net was collected under a Grasslands National Park permit
Appears to be G. fraternus (Midland Clubtail), but with unusual amount of yellow on terminal abdominal segments. This suggests the little-known subspecies, G.f. manitobanus. Or is it possibly G. externus, Plains Clubtail, for which this would be a significant range extension well into the boreal forest?
